Mission Statement
The Methodist Rural Center exists as a Servant, using its facilities to help the Church. Our desire is to help those who come to grow in their encounter with God and to mature as loyal Christians, serving in His Name.
HE WALKS - WITH US
He came striding along
Down the hill to the mediation walk.
There he turned left following the trail,
Like it was lined for Him with chalk.
Pausing here and there at a bench,
At the stream, or to look up at the tallest tree,
There was no hurry as He just moved along;
He did the necessary climbing. He was free!
Coming to the bamboo clump, He paused,
Looked up, then looked down, all around.
Bamboo canes reached high, curving over,
Resilient, pliable, ever strongly set in the ground.
Continuing His journey, He came to the steps
Of the amphitheatre, its cross, its stage.
He went to the cross and leaned against it,
Thinking and wondering, "Is it enough for every age?"
Deep down within His wonderful spirit,
He received His answer, for Him true.
"Yes, it is enough together with the open tomb;
This is the very best that God will do."
Down through every age He will walk
And talk to any and to all who will listen.
Whosoever will give Him time
He will make their meditation walk glisten.
